Today is the last leg of our trip we arrived at our hotel early this morning. We head out to our hometown around 4pm on Amtrak and arrive around 9pm.

We have landed in Portland
Shuttle bus to airport from rental car area ❤️
We fly out today to Portland well tonight, we will drive/sightsee since we have to check out of hotel.
Flight leaves at 830 pm tonight, San Diego to Portland. Then Portland back to home tomorrow night.

Today we head back to San Diego where we stay for a couple days before flying back to Portland, Oregon.
Thursday April 4, 2024
Arrived at the beachouse Marylyn doing another nutrition class, they sent me up to room.
So Marylyn has to do a class before heading to the beach house for the day and night. We are here waiting for it ❤️ going to enjoy the day relaxing with her.
Today is day 6 of our trip, we travel to the beach house for one night this morning.

So here is the X-ray from the leak test.
Don't know exactly how to decipher this, but know that it is good because the drain tube was removed!
Marylyn is doing well, she is walking and handling all of this like a champ.

Got her leak test done, now she can have some fluids.
Another update:
She left with other patients to go do a leak test.
Update: Today marks day 5, and she's in high spirits following her successful weight loss surgery.
Already up and walking, even showered, she's determined to progress further. Tomorrow, we return to the beach house before departing for San Diego the following day.
I'm immensely proud of her progress and hope to capture more footage on the GoPro to share with everyone. If not, I'll showcase what I have.

She has been walking, they want her to do this every hour. For 10 minutes

Today is surgery day, we are all packed up ready to go back to the surgery center for her to have weight loss surgery

I just want to express how proud I am of MaryLyn. This is Maddi, and MaryLyn is truly amazing. She has surgery tomorrow. We’ve come this far because of the incredible people who support us on social media, and we are deeply grateful to all of you.

Maddi: here I did not like that takeoff feeling at…all 🛫
So we go let a reason for the delay, the plane had lightning strike it earlier and as a precaution they replaced the plane ✈️
We may be delayed but this a beautiful airport 💝

Hey everyone, Maddi here! In just a few days, we’re headed to Portland for Marylyn’s weight loss surgery journey. She’s opted for surgery in Tijuana, Mexico, after thorough research. Portland marks the beginning of our trip, and we’re thrilled!
Today, we’re busy weighing our luggage to ensure it’s within limits for our flight to San Diego from Portland. We’re also finishing up packing and mentally preparing for this adventure.
I’m incredibly proud of my wife and the dedication she’s shown towards this journey.

Maddi here: anxiety is sort of setting in for this trip. I know all will be fine, trying to avoid social situations as my anxiety will be high already during travel and want to minimize the effects
We are packed and ready mostly, we leave Saturday morning to Portland, Oregon.
